Friends Gear Up for Next Season!

Dear Friends, 

Though many of our board members are away from Key West visiting family or on vacation this summer, we’ve been busy making plans for the 2024-25 season. Those preparations include adding a summer edition of our newsletter to give you an idea of what’s in store!

In speaker series/gala news, our gala guest of honor for 2025 will be British crime fiction writer Ann Cleeves, award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of the Vera, Shetland, and Two Rivers series! Mark your calendars for the gala on February 3. Ann has also graciously agreed to help us host a murder mystery night at the library on February 1. Tickets for the gala will go on sale in the fall—members will have first dibs, of course. We have more amazing speakers lined up as well, including Ann Hood, Michael Ruhlman, Fiona Davis, Greg Wands, Stephen Kitsakos, Jimin Han, and local lights Leslie Linsley and Ellen T. White. We are also planning to host several events for young adult readers. There will be book sales, of course! 

If you belong to an organization that might like to learn more about the Key West Library and the Friends, please let us know. We’ll be happy to have one of our board members visit.
