Why Sponsor the Friends of the Key West Library

As a volunteer-based organization, our sponsors are integral partners in the Friends mission to support the Key West Library, which is a critical resource for the citizens of Key West.

We pride ourselves on prudent stewardship and fiscal responsibility. All membership dues go directly to the support of the library. That means that your contribution would allow us to direct the profits from our fundraising efforts to the library which is, of course, the mission of the Friends, supporting this critical resource for Key West school children and residents. In the past, sponsorship donations have also helped us fund special projects identified by library staff.

Sponsorship Opportunities

• The Monday Night Speaker Series which presents authors, artists and other luminaries in the Palm Garden. This series – started in the late 1990’s – is a Key West favorite and routinely attracts 100+ attendees every Monday night during the winter season.
• The Friends of the Key West Library Gala held each season, usually in February, features a prominent speaker and a grand after-party. In past years, the Gala presented New York Times food editor Sam Sifton and noted author Carl Hiaasen.
• The Monday Night Speaker Series + the Gala
• The Friends Palm Garden book sales – four events held on the first Saturday of the month which attract many Key West residents and visitors.

Sponsorship Levels

Speaker Series + Gala Sponsorship Opportunities

-Speaker Series + Gala Diamond Sponsorship $10,000-

• • Will be featured prominently as the “Named” Diamond sponsor on all promotion materials November – March (printed brochure, signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.).
  • Brand identity will be included on all promotional materials.
  • Will be given 4 premium seating tickets for all events including the Gala.
  • Will be mentioned prominently at every event. (Example: “Hello, on behalf of SPONSOR ————, thank you coming this evening, etc.”)
  • Will be allowed to provide a simple promotional item to all participants at each event. (Item to be approved in advance)
  • Will become a member of the Friends of the Key West Library.
  • We will also entertain other promotional ideas proposed by the sponsor.

-Speaker Series + Gala Platinum Sponsorship $5,000-

• • Will be described as a Platinum sponsor on all promotion materials November – February (printed brochure, signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.).
  • Will be given 2 premium seating tickets for all events including the Gala.
  • Will be featured on all event night programs.
  • Will become members of the Friends of the Key West Library.

-Individual Gala Sponsorship Gold $1,000-

• • Will be described as a Gold Gala sponsor on all promotion materials for the Gala (printed brochure, signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.)
  • Will be given 2 premium seating tickets for the Gala event.
  • Will be featured on Gala program.
  • Will become members of the Friends of the Key West Library.

-Individual Gala Sponsorship Silver $500-

• • Will be listed on all promotional materials as Silver sponsor.
  • Will become a member of the Friends of the Key West Library.

Speaker Series Sponsorship Opportunities

-Speaker Series Sponsorship Ruby $4,000-

• • Will be described as a Ruby sponsor on all promotion materials for the Speaker Series. (printed brochure, signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.)
  • Will be given 2 premium seating tickets for the Gala event.
  • Will become members of the Friends of the Key West Library.

-Individual Speaker Sponsorship Emerald $500-

• • Will be listed on all Speaker Series promotional materials as Emerald sponsor for individual speaker. (printed brochure, signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.)
  • Will become a member of the Friends of the Key West Library.

Book Sales Sponsorship Opportunities

-Book Sales Sponsorship Sapphire $1500-

• • Will be described as a Sapphire sponsor on all promotion materials for four book sales – December through March (signage, website promotions, media releases, etc.)
  • Will become members of the Friends of the Key West Library.

Who We Are

The Friends of the Key West Library is a not-for-profit organization separate from the Key West Library. However, we work very closely with the library’s incredible team, raising funds and awareness of their superb literary collections, including the Florida Keys History Center, and the library’s services to our island community.
