Save the Date for Murder on February 1, 2025

On February 1 from 3:30 to 5 p.m., the Friends of the Key West Library will host an afternoon of witness statements, forensic reports and, of course, guessing whodunnit at the Key West Library with our Gala Honored Guest, Ann Cleeves. Prizes will be awarded to audience members closest to solving the murder and copies of Cleeves’ books will be available to purchase. Refreshments suitable for a Shetland tea will be served.

“Blood on the Bannocks” is based on Cleeves’ novel, Cold Earth, and was written as part of her 30th book celebration. Cleeves said, “I am so lucky to have been supported by so many passionate librarians and booksellers in my 30 years as an author, writing this murder mystery script is my small way of saying thank you, and I hope everyone has fun trying to unravel the mystery!”

With over 1.5 million copies sold worldwide, Cleeves is one of Britain’s most successful crime fiction novelists. Her bestselling books are loved in print and on screen: both the Vera Stanhope and Shetland series are now major TV adaptations on Britbox and Amazon Prime Premium.

Admission is free to this event, but registration is required and will be live on January 1. Watch the January newsletter for the registration link and more information.
