“Not all heroes wear capes,” read the program at the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys Unsung Hero 25th annual luncheon, which recognized the service of volunteers. At the event, held at the Key West Beachside Resort on February 7, volunteer Bethany Pyle was recognized from the Friends of the Key West Library.

Bethany spends countless hours year-round sorting donated books and helping at the book sales during the season. As noted in a subsequent article in Keys Weekly, Bethany “leads the team setting up and taking down the table of books in the library’s Palm Garden. Her positive energy motivates the whole team. Bethany has inspired others to volunteer with the Friends as well. She is loyal, dependable, and dedicated.”
