Dear Members, Friends, and Friends of Friends

We’re back!

The Friends 2026-2027 season kicks off soon. See the articles below and save the dates for our book sales, speaker series, annual fundraising garden party gala, mystery tea, and major benefactor cocktail party with a special guest. We can’t wait to see you this season.

We have a new head librarian

Please welcome Riona Campbell as the new Senior Branch Manager of the Key West Library. Rio joins us most recently from Big Pine. Be sure to read her column at the end of this newsletter for all the exciting goings on in the Key West branch during our off-season. We wish the very best to our former Branch Manager, Kim Rinaldi, who is now at the Big Pine Branch. We loved working with Kim, and we are sure we will love working with Rio.

We have a new roof

After much planning and a near month-long closure, our little pink library has a new roof. And, while the library was closed, the interior had a refresh as well. Please stop by and see our refurbished digs.

Amendment 3

If you are voting in person on Tuesday, the Friends board is asking you to consider voting no on Amendment 3. Our full statement is here.

We wish you the very best and can’t wait to see you this season.
