The series starts in mid-January, and runs through March, every Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 in the Key West Library’s beautiful Palm Garden at 700 Fleming Street. The Palm Garden gates open at 5:30 and guests may be seated on a first-come, first-seated basis. In the event of rain, the event will take place inside the library.

More than 25 years ago the Friends of the Library Speaker Series began. Now it is our most popular offering by far. We have had the great pleasure of hosting many phenomenal authors including Judy Blume, Ann Cleeves, S.A. Cosby, Fiona Davis, Sam Sifton, Carl Hiassen, Tom Perrotta, and many more.
