A Season to Beat All Seasons!

Dear Friends,

I’d like to give heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and members who’ve made this year possible. We tell prospective board members that we are a working board, and boy is that true! Each board member contributed much energy to this successful season, bringing you four book sales and ten speaker events, including a sold-out fundraising gala. Thank you also to each volunteer who worked at these events and the sponsors who supported the Friends. We welcome your input about any of the events we’ve provided. Finally, we are grateful to our library staff who are enthusiastic and supportive of our efforts and our library.

The board is already hard at work planning next year’s events. We are lucky to have had board members Ellen Cavanaugh and Barbara Ross lead us through a simplified process of planning to both get us organized and hone our direction. Even though our membership contributions this year were the highest of the past ten years, we aim to get the Friends known to a broader audience. Let us know if you belong to an organization that might like to contribute to or co-sponsor an event or project next year or invite a speaker from the Friends to a meeting.
