County Commissioners Recognize Friends Donation

During their meeting on May 21, the Monroe County Commissioners recognized the Friends’ 2025 contribution to the Key West Library.

Kimberly Matthews, Sr. Director of Strategic Planning & Libraries, said, “We could not do all the things we do in the entire library system, especially Key West, without our Friends of the Library.” She added that while the check is very much appreciated, “The check represents a small portion…of the contribution the Friends make with their time and their passion.”

Betsy Moore, Board Member of the Friends, emphasized the core nature of the funding the county provides for the libraries. She also saluted Kim Rinaldi, Senior Branch Manager in Key West and her staff for all they do.
