This Valentine’s Day, surprise that special someone in your life with a homemade pasta dinner. Library staff Amy and Laura will hold a pasta-making class on February 13, to teach the art of the dough. Class starts at 2pm.

On February 11, at 4 pm, Historian Jerry Berg of the Swordsmanship Museum and Academy will present The Blade of the Pirate: Swords of the Caribbean Colonies. From the wild hunting cutlass to the aristocrat’s smallsword, and everything in between, Jerry will not only show off some original swords from the museum’s collection, but will also explain how they were used; demonstrating specific swordsmanship techniques from the Age of Pirates!

In addition to headline events, the library offers a full suite of activities throughout February — from book clubs and story times to creative workshops and community gatherings.  Check the monthly calendar for details and keep an eye out for ongoing offerings for all ages. With so much happening, this cozy corner of Key West continues to be a hub of learning, laughter, and community spirit.
